COVID-19 Child and Youth Study

This study collects and analyzes the feelings, behaviour, and experiences of Canadian children and youth during the COVID-19 pandemic, as reported by children and youth themselves.

The goal of the study is to listen directly to kids and teens in order to help measure and understand the impacts of pandemic conditions on physical activity levels, well-being, and school experience, along with contributing socioecological factors. A cross-sectional sample of over 2,100 pairs of nine- to 16-year-olds and a parent/caregiver participated in this first two phases of the study in the spring and fall of 2020, reporting on below.

Our reporting on the third wave, from a separate study, can be found here.
